School Description:

The techniques taught at the Dan Rinehart Taxidermy School prepare students to begin and operate their own taxidermy business. The 4-week course, consisting of 192-course hours and 4-lecture hours, teaches mounting of birds, mammals, deer head and fish. Classes are held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday, with lectures given on assigned evenings.

Our Winter course has an additional 44 hour turkey class and a Fish replica class for 16 hrs to help round out a tudents knowledge.

Some students prefer to specialize by taking a one or two week course for feathers, fur or fish. These classes run in conjunction with the full course so students receive the same quality education.

Students may furnish their own specimens or purchase them from the school. All completed mounts go home with the students to become part of their showroom. Established in 1976, the Dan Rinehart Taxidermy School boasts of successful graduates from all over the world, including Australia and Iceland.
