The Badger State Repair School offers a 48-week course. Each student is thoroughly trained in each operation of the repair by a department instructor who is an expert in his/her phase of band instrument repairing. There are no actual classes; and each student is individually tutored on a 40 hour per week basis. The school contains 4,620 square feet divided into dent removal, buffing, soldering, shipping, degreasing, plating, lacquering and brass and woodwind departments. Badger State Repair School is equipped with the latest state-of-the-art equipment.
Band instrument repair technicians, who have been properly trained, are in critically short supply. Repairing band instruments is a very interesting, self-rewarding and profitable vocation. If you are mechanically inclined and ambitious, our repair course, which is a comprehensive course in the complete overhaul and refinishing of brass and woodwind instruments, may fit your career goals.
The school operates its only location in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, and is open to any individual who wants to learn the craft in Band Instrument Repair and who has experience working at a full time job for two years. Past experience in the repair field is not required.
